Field IT Support Technician – Healthcare
Location: San Antonio, TX (Applicants must reside in or near the San Antonio area)
Compensation: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience - MSP Experience Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire (W-2)
Schedule: M-F (35-40 hours per week) with rotating after-hours support as needed

Trust Technologies LLC is a locally owned IT services company based in San Antonio, Texas. Since 2007, we have specialized in providing managed IT services and technology support for healthcare organizations, including medical and dental practices throughout South Texas.
Our services include network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, structured cabling, and ongoing technical support.
Due to continued business growth and an expanding client base, we are looking to add a Field IT Support Technician to our team. You'll work directly with healthcare providers, helping maintain the technology they depend on every day while delivering the high level of service our clients expect.
Position Summary
This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working both onsite and remotely while supporting a variety of technologies.
The Field IT Support Technician will work directly with healthcare clients to troubleshoot technical issues, install and maintain infrastructure, and provide exceptional customer service in active medical and dental office environments.
Because many of our clients rely on technology for day-to-day patient operations, professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver onsite and remote IT support for healthcare practices
- Install and maintain structured cabling for voice and data systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues across workstations, servers, and front-office systems
- Support specialized applications, including imaging platforms and practice management software
- Follow security protocols aligned with healthcare compliance standards
- Track and resolve support requests within established service level expectations
- Administer and support Microsoft-based environments, including:
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Azure and identity management tools
- Windows Server and Active Directory
- SharePoint platforms
- Troubleshoot networking components such as firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and WAN/LAN connectivity
- Assist with backup strategies, recovery processes, and system monitoring
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, and asset records
- Travel regularly to client locations throughout the San Antonio and surrounding areas
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Practical experience with structured cabling (installation and termination)
- Experience using cable testing equipment, including tone generators and probes
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to work independently in client environments with minimal supervision
Technical Experience (2+ years preferred)
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Azure AD / Active Directory management
- DNS and core networking principles
- Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Remote access tools (VPN, RDP, etc.)
- System imaging and deployment processes
- Security best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting dental or medical software platforms
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)

Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and above-ceiling environments when required
- Regular travel to client sites throughout the San Antonio and surrounding areas
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
