KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confectionary Production: Responsible for scaling, filling, assembling, and decorating all cakes, slices, tarts, and specialty desserts according to visual brand standards.
- Prep Work: Prepare proprietary creams, icings, fillings, and sauces from scratch or components to spec.
- Merchandising: Maintain and organize the storefront cake display cases, ensuring they look stunning, pristine, and fully stocked for our guests.
- Kitchen Upkeep: Maintain a highly organized, safe, and hygienic work station. Follow clear sanitization procedures for all cake-decorating utensils and equipment.
- Inventory Control: Receive, stock, and properly rotate ingredients in refrigeration and freezer units. Notify management regarding food supply shortages or maintenance needs.
- Efficiency: Manage daily production timelines effectively to meet cafe demand and fulfill guest customization or special orders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Experience Requirement: Minimum of 3 months of professional cake decorating experience is REQUIRED. Candidates must have foundational hands-on proficiency with piping bags, custom frosting, and whipped cream/icing finishing.
- Availability: Must be comfortable and reliable for early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM to ensure the display cases are beautifully set for our early guests.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to be a brand ambassador for Paris Baguette’s culture.
- Training Commitment: Must be able to complete a mandatory 4 weeks of training in New Jersey.
