American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab position requiring 2 years of acute MS/rehab experience, a rotating 36/48-hour schedule, and an active KY or compact RN license.

Acute inpatient rehab unit within a hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hours (7:00–19:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period

Patient ratios of 1:5–6, which may fluctuate with census
-
Floating required within scope of practice

Every other weekend required

Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Charting system: Meditech (preferred)
-
Skills include IV therapy, blood administration, central line/PICC care, orthopedic care, total joint replacement, feeding tube management, wound care, and stroke scale assessment

Active KY state or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — no exceptions

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale; ACLS (AHA) preferred

Minimum 2 years of recent acute med/surg or inpatient rehab RN experience required

Valid driver's license with address matching permanent address required

Two professional references required: one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year

Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

13-week contract

Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis

Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission

Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment

After working one cumulative year within the system, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
-
Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
