We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. Great hours for a family oriented employee, Monday thru Friday 5:30 am till 2:15 pm. We have been open for 23 years. In this vital role, you will oversee daily food preparation, ensure high-quality standards are met. Your culinary expertise and leadership will inspire the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining a clean work environment
- Oversee food handling procedures to meet safety standards and minimize waste
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on daily specials and ingredient needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station and dish station, adhering to sanitation regulations
- Ensure all food service operations comply with health regulations and quality standards
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or cafe.
- Previous leadership experience as a cook or kitchen supervisor is highly desirable
- Extensive knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Skilled in knife techniques, and meal preparation.
- Familiarity with planning, food industry standards, and serving protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced friendly environment
