We are primarily looking for overnight attendants at the time of posting. We have a handful of open shifts available at the moment and seeking coverage for some or all of them.
Overnight hours are 7PM to 6AM in a secure environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for the overnight boarding dogs in a crate free space with a number of playrooms
- be able to manage groups of dogs safely and encourage them to rest overnight (so they are not cranky the next day)
- complete routine nightly cleaning of spaces that cannot be done during the day, such as the lobby, laundry room, and feeding room
-monitor dogs and note any concerning changes in behavior or health to be reported to day staff in the morning, and understand when an emergent problem requires contacting management for help right away
- potty and clean up after the dogs in the early morning hours, prior to the start of the morning shift
Qualifications:
-must have VERY reliable attendance and trusted to show up for every scheduled shift
-Reliable transportation
-self motivated to perform responsibilities without close supervision
-good problem solving skills and initiative
- minimum of 1-2 years professional dog care experience
-some understanding of dog behavior, communication, and psychology is strongly preferred
-capable of handling dogs of all sizes and breeds, including those with minor behavior challenges
-effective communication skills so issues can be reported to the morning crew
-high standards of care for keeping a space clean and sanitized
-physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
Shift type:
Primarily overnight at this time, however some day shifts may become available in the future
Pay Scale:
$16-$17.50 per hour, commensurate with experience
