Overview
Join the nonprofit Grow Arizona Workforce Network as a Student Services Specialist, where you will play a vital role in supporting student success through postsecondary planning and opportunities within our organization. This position offers an opportunity to engage directly with students, faculty, and staff to foster a welcoming environment that promotes educational achievement.
Responsibilities
- Create a good rapport and serve as an advocate for students' best interests in postsecondary planning.
- Manage student information systems, document student progress, assist with preparing for postsecondary education, research workforce opportunities, and organize job shadow opportunities and internships.
- Organize business and college campus tours and information sessions.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement policies that enhance student services and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google Workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and reporting on outcomes.
- Fingerprint clearance will be required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Schedule and Pay
- Located at the Grow Arizona Center at Holbrook High School Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during school hours, and every other Friday morning except for school holidays and breaks. Approximately 20 hours per week.
- Starting pay is $18.50 per hour.
