JOB DESCRIPTION
Assists in preparing patients to see medical providers. Performs a variety of routine tasks including answering telephone inquiries, resolving basic customer service issues and providing information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receives and prepares patients for medical examinations by gathering preliminary information such as weight, height, etc.
2. Records information on patient charts. Researches, locates, pulls and prepares a variety of documents, records and other assigned data.
3. Conducts inventory and orders and stocks supplies.
4. Performs administrative tasks to include typing, filing, greeting the public, screening phone calls, answering inquiries, sorting mail, ordering supplies compiling routine data in established formats, maintain records and schedules appointments.
5. Monitors employees annual skin testing.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Training:
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Two (2) years of work related experience or 30 hours from an accredited college or university or combination of the two.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiar with standard software applications. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, organize, process work and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Requires prolonged sitting and standing and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
