Maintain a safe pool environment, be prepared for emergencies and respond accordingly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Tests chlorine and PH as directed by Aquatics Director.

Ensures that the pool and swimmers are safe by adhering to posted pool rules. Communicates YWCA pool policies to participants.

Be aware of activity in the water and on deck, and if necessary respond to emergency situations appropriately.

Assist instructors as needed.

Helps maintain a tidy pool deck removing clutter.

Attends meetings as requested by the Aquatics Director.

Adheres to the YWCA York policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Certifications required:
Must Have Current Lifeguard Certificate
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
