Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (20 hours per week)
Compensation: Starting at $45.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview
A private family in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Family Assistant / House Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their home while providing occasional childcare support. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity for a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys working in a private household environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily household operations
- Manage family calendars and schedules
- Coordinate vendors and service appointments
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Maintain household inventory and organization
- Reset and maintain an orderly, well-functioning home
- Assist with family administrative tasks as needed
- Provide childcare support when required
- Anticipate the family's needs and take initiative without constant direction
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- Previous experience as a Family Assistant and/or House Manager minimum 2 years within a private residence
- Professional nanny experience minimum 2 years
- A minimum of two (2) consecutive years working with one private family (required)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Outstanding professional references from previous private household employers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting busy professionals or high-net-worth families
- Strong technology and calendar management skills
- Experience coordinating vendors and household projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
