Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Biomedical Device Integration Technician to join our innovative healthcare technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of biomedical devices, ensuring seamless integration with hospital systems and equipment. Your expertise will support the delivery of reliable medical solutions by managing device functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing routine preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with equipment repair, and familiarity with OEM standards to uphold the highest quality and safety standards in clinical environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure biomedical devices in clinical settings, ensuring proper integration with existing systems
- Perform routine calibration and preventive maintenance on medical equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Conduct repairs on mechanical components and electronic hardware utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to accurately diagnose system faults
- Collaborate with field service teams to support on-site installations and repairs across multiple locations
- Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Assist in training clinical staff on device operation and basic troubleshooting procedures
- Support ongoing equipment upgrades and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with OEM biomedical equipment or similar electronic/medical devices
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for tracking service activities and asset management
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electronic diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to medical devices
- Experience calibrating medical instruments to meet precise operational standards
- Skilled in using hand tools for mechanical assembly, disassembly, and repairs
- Understanding of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex issues
