Respiratory Therapist– Respiratory Care
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: Sept 08, 2026
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call: None
Travel: Travel assignment only; candidates must live more than 50 miles away
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience required
- Active Georgia RRT license required
- Current NBRC RRT certification required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Previous travel experience required
- Must be available for every other weekend
- Must be willing to work required holidays
- Floating may be required as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across assigned units
- Assess respiratory status and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Administer respiratory medications and treatments
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
- Perform airway management and suctioning procedures
- Monitor patients' responses to respiratory treatments and adjust care as needed
- Perform and interpret respiratory assessments and diagnostic testing
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide appropriate life-support interventions
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Follow infection control, safety, and respiratory care standards
