Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitizing procedures, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings or flavor combinations to enhance customer offerings
- Manage food production during high-volume periods while ensuring quality and consistency
- Handle food handling responsibilities including dough preparation, topping application, and portion control
- Support the team with general food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and maintaining stock levels
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with pizza or similar cuisine
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with food industry standards including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of recipe adherence and meal preparation protocols
- Prior experience in catering or fine dining environments is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle food safely and responsibly while maintaining a positive attitude
