Description:
StenTech is seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow a career in mechanical design. The successful candidate will assist with creating and maintaining accurate 2D CAD drawings while supporting engineering and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Create, revise, and maintain accurate 2D CAD drawings.

Interpret design requirements and translate them into technical drawings.

Ensure drawings and documentation are complete, accurate, and organized.

Maintain design files and documentation according to company standards and revision control procedures.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support project timelines and objectives.

Identify and communicate design issues or discrepancies.

Support continuous improvement efforts within the design process.

Assist with engineering change requests and design revisions as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM; start time may be adjusted ±1 hour based on business needs)

Requirements:
- Experience using 2D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar applications, acquired through work experience, education, vocational training, or internships.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Strong spatial recognition and visualization skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.

Relevant work experience, vocational training, internships, military technical training, or other equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred associate's degree.

Must pass all required drug, background, and compliance screenings.
