Dracut High School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our High School STRIVE substantially separate program for students with autism spectrum disorder for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. A certification in Severe Disabilities is preferred, but certifications in Moderate Disabilities will be considered.Essential responsibilities: *Provide specialized instruction to students in a Special Education setting*Have a strong understanding of developmental milestones and modified curriculum at the elementary level*Experience and general understanding of the concepts of Applied Behavioral Analysis*Experience with being part of the instructional support team, including classroom teachers, auxiliary support service providers, BCBA and paraprofessionals *Experience with IEP drafting and progress monitoring through the collection of data*Experience with assessment and eligibility determination*Strong organization, writing and communication skillsOther responsibilities: *Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.*Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.*Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.*Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.*Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g. instructional technology)
