Were looking for someone proficient in Hvac repair and install at Dewberry Downs Townhome Apartments in the Bluff Park area of Hoover. We're looking for someone with a supervisor level skillset. That said we're not a large corporate thing and the structure of the job would be working as a team with our other 2 maintenance techs completing work orders and punches.
We may do less than 10 installs of new condensers, furnaces, etc throughout the year but plenty of repairs month to month. This is may be perfect job for someone in the hvac industry looking for a more relaxed work place.
$30 an hour and NO ON CALL!! no weekends, no afterhours, no work on holidays. Just 8-5 mon-fri! You deserve time with your family and friends on the weekends without worrying about service calls
Work along side a small team of guys completing service calls and light punch / rehab work at a family owned 116 unit townhome complex in Hoover atop Shades Mtn in Bluff Park.
HVAC experience required

General JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Duties: 1st: Will be responsible for preparing assigned unit for turnover - Extensive 135 point check list provided. We average only about 3 to 4 turnovers per month. Also, maintain and rehab small portfolio of rental homes in mostly over the mtn. areas.
- Handle calls for REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF HVAC COMPONENTS. (such as Condenser, Compressor, fan motor, thermostat and so on).
- PREPARE EACH UNIT BETWEEN TURN-OVERS - Extensive 137 point check list provided. No painting or carpet installs required
- Lead in renovate of NEW & TURNOVER HOUSE RENOVATIONS - occasional service calls and punches at single family homes in Hoover and Shelby County. This is finish carpentry like door installs, light fixture installation, disposal installs, various finish carpentry tasks. Many times just 1-2 service calls per month at these homes
- REPAIR OR REPLACE APPLIANCES - (dishwasher, stove, disposal, frig,) as needed.
- HELP KEEP POOL CLEAN AND IN GOOD RUNNING ORDER and pool equipment in top shape
- Plumbing
- Miscellaneous light electrical work . – Typically light fixtures, appliance installs, minor to moderate level circuit tracing. Replace outlet plugs, etc.
- CARPENTRY WORK
