A clerical position is available in the office of the Ogemaw County Prosecuting Attorney - Criminal Division. The hourly rate of pay and fringe benefits are governed by union contract, with a starting rate of $16.80/ hour for new employees, and includes health insurance and an optional 401k plan with employer matching. The position is full-time (35 hours per week) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one hour unpaid lunch.
Minimum qualifications are:
Typing (60 wpm), knowledge of Microsoft Word, general computer skills, good written correspondence and verbal communications. Employees should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office setting. Applicant must take and pass a written test demonstrating minimum proficiency for the position. Preferred applicants will have knowledge of Circuit, Family, District, and Probate Court procedures as well as a general understanding of criminal laws. Applicants must not have any pending criminal charges and/or misdemeanor or felony convictions on their criminal history. Confidentiality regarding office files is strictly enforced.
