Job Summary
**We are offering a $500 sign on bonus to be paid out after 3 months of successful employment.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate a box truck. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Safely operate a step van or box truck to deliver products to customers and businesses.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics and timely deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds by hand, and 50 pounds using a hand cart) consistently throughout the day.
- Previous experience in courier services, delivery driving, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen (including marijuana).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous, but not necessary.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and routes as necessary.
