We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Intern to join our dynamic legal team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in immigration law and support various legal processes related to immigration cases. Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and reviewing immigration documentation, including petitions, applications, and supporting evidence
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, policies, and other legal research tools
- Support case management by organizing files, maintaining electronic records in document management systems like Clio Manage
- Help draft legal correspondence, reports, and summaries related to immigration cases
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with procedural requirements
- Support client communication efforts by preparing updates and scheduling appointments under supervision
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling case files and supporting documentation
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for drafting documents and managing data entry
- Effective research skills utilizing legal databases to gather relevant information on immigration policies
- Clear written communication skills for drafting reports and correspondence
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly with high ethical standards
- Prior paralegal or legal administrative experience is a plus but not required; a strong interest in immigration law is essential
