Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring proper presentation and safety standards
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and basic math calculations for bills or change as needed
- Support team members with guest relations efforts to ensure a positive dining environment
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales
