Front of House Manager
Location: Porky's Backyard – Humble, Texas
Position Summary
Porky's Backyard is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Front of House Manager to lead daily operations in one of the area's premier entertainment destinations. Our venue features a high-volume full-service bar, live entertainment and special events, and is home to 17 independently operated food trucks, creating a unique guest experience unlike any other.
The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced entertainment environment, and possesses strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams, deliver exceptional guest service, and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Front of House management experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, entertainment venue, or hospitality environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, guest service standards, and hospitality management.
- Experience coordinating or managing large events is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Texas Food Manager Certification and TABC Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Proficient with POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily Front of House operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop bartenders, servers, hosts, security personnel, and support staff.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new team members.
- Create and manage employee schedules based on business demands.
- Ensure consistent compliance with company policies, health regulations, and responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor labor costs and staffing levels while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the bar team to maintain beverage quality, inventory controls, and service standards.
- Coordinate Front of House operations during concerts, private parties, festivals, and other special events.
- Collaborate with the independently operated food truck vendors to promote a seamless guest experience throughout the property.
- Conduct daily floor walks to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the venue.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands require.
- Thrive in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
