Business Account Executive – Commercial Security SolutionsPosition Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Account Executive to drive new business development and manage client relationships within the commercial security industry. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing customer solutions, and selling integrated security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, and related low-voltage technologies.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in B2B sales, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage opportunities from prospecting through project closeout.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Prospect and develop new commercial accounts through networking, referrals, cold calling, and strategic outreach.
- Identify opportunities within commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, multifamily, and municipal markets.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Generate and qualify leads to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop long-term relationships with business owners, facility managers, property managers, and decision-makers.
- Conduct customer meetings, site surveys, and needs assessments.
- Present tailored security and technology solutions that address client objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process and project lifecycle.
Sales & Proposal Development
- Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to develop accurate proposals and system designs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, quotes, and formal proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM records.
Market Knowledge
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Understand security regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Promote managed services, maintenance agreements, and recurring revenue solutions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in security, low-voltage, technology, telecommunications, or construction industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, intercom, or security integration solutions.
- Knowledge of systems such as Verkada, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, LenelS2, Honeywell, or similar platforms.
- Experience with construction bidding processes and commercial project sales.
- Existing network of commercial customers, contractors, architects, or facility managers.
