Ranch Enhancements is hiring a Journeyman Carpenter to join our framing crew. This position is for an experienced carpenter who can confidently produce quality work while helping direct and develop other crew members.
You are a builder first. We are looking for someone who understands the work, takes ownership of production, works efficiently, and takes pride in building things right.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Work alongside the Lead Carpenter while taking responsibility for building the components that make up the finished product:
· Read and understand plans, details, layouts, and assigned work
· Construct framing components according to plans and specifications
· Follow established systems and processes
· Prepare materials, tools, equipment, and work areas for production
· Safely and efficiently operate carpentry tools and equipment
· Maintain quality while working toward production goals
· Identify problems and communicate them before they create rework
· Direct Apprentices and Carpenter Helpers in assigned work
· Delegate appropriate tasks and help less-experienced crew members develop
· Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A successful Journeyman Carpenter:
· Understands the work before beginning
· Can read plans and translate them into physical construction
· Produces accurate, quality work with minimal correction
· Understands framing systems, sequencing, and construction methods
· Works efficiently and stays focused on production
· Follows systems and processes
· Plans ahead and keeps work moving
· Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment
· Communicates clearly and works well with the crew
· Leads by example and directs crew members to success
· Takes accountability for the work produced by themselves and those working with them
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You are winning in this role when you can be trusted to take assigned work from the plan to the finished product accurately, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
Your components are completed to standard, production keeps moving, and the Apprentices and Helpers working with you become more capable by taking greater responsibility in production.
The goal is to become a highly competent builder while developing the planning, delegation, and leadership skills necessary to become a Lead Carpenter.

POSITION DETAILS
Position: Journeyman Carpenter
Experience: Demonstrated carpentry and wood-framing experience
Industry: Carpentry / Wood Framing
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM; overtime opportunities available Area: Flathead Valley
