Our company is an industry leader in ornamental metal installation. We are seeking an Ornamental Metal Superintendent. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the installation of misc./ornamental metals. This person should be a self-starter and someone that can exercise independent judgement.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Construction Operations Manager to oversee, streamline, and scale our field and regional operations. Unlike a Project Manager who focuses on a single job site, you will own the high-level systems, resource allocation, and strategic execution across our entire multi-project portfolio. The ideal candidate is a strong, influential leader who can effectively bridge the gap between office executives and field personnel, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Operations & Schedule Management:
· Portfolio Oversight: Supervise and evaluate day-to-day field operations across multiple active construction sites.
· Schedule Alignment: Monitor project baseline schedules, track critical milestones, and implement corrective actions for delays.
· Standard Operating Procedures: Design, implement, and enforce standardized construction processes to scale field excellence.
· Issue Resolution: Act as the primary "roadblock remover" for complex, escalated field challenges and subcontractor conflicts.
Labor & Resource Allocation:
· Workforce Planning: Forecast and coordinate field labor, self-perform crews, equipment, and material logistics across all sites.
· Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and evaluate Project Superintendents and Field Managers to support their professional growth.
· Recruitment & Hiring: Partnerwith HR to recruit, onboard, and train qualified field professionals.
Safety & Quality Compliance:
· Safety Culture: Champion Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) policies and strictly enforce OSHA compliance across all job sites.
· Quality Control: Direct site performance management to ensure all builds meet strict design specifications and engineering standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Experience: [5-10+] years of experience in construction management, with a minimum of [3-5] years specifically in an operational leadership role overseeing multiple sites.
· Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification is required; PMP or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
· Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of reading blueprints, structural specs, project management software [e.g., Procore, and MS Office Suite.
· Leadership Style: Strong communication, public speaking, and emotional intelligence skills to influence opinionated field teams and align them with corporate goals.
· Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to visit regional job sites and conduct fieldwalks.
