American Driveway is seeking a detail oriented Assistant Director of Subcontractors, who will play a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Subcontractors with managing the subcontracting relationships critical to the success of our construction projects. This role will be responsible for selecting, evaluating, and collaborating with subcontractors to ensure they meet our quality, safety, and project timeline standards. The compensation for this position is $60,000 annual salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subcontractor Selection: Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors based on their qualifications, expertise, track record, and capacity to meet project requirements.
- Onboarding and Legal Compliance: Oversee all new contractor on-boarding and training, collect all documents relative to legal compliance (Insurance, W9, etc)
- Crew Capability Assessment: Have in-depth knowledge of the ability of the crew and provide context to dispatch office on any concerns of a crew’s ability to complete a job.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and establish contracts with subcontractors, outlining terms, conditions, deliverables, pricing, and schedules. Ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Performance Management: Monitor and assess subcontractor performance throughout the project, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, safety, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with subcontractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and any concerns are addressed promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure subcontractors adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety on the construction site.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations of subcontractors, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
MUST be bilingual, Spanish/English speaking. Utilizing translation apps is not considered bilingual.
• Are a master at problem solving
• Consider yourself to be meticulously organized
• Have geographical knowledge of service areas or map reading skills
• Are able to travel to our active locations (25% travel required)
• Are proficient in technology platforms
• Are able to manage and execute multiple tasks at the same time
• Have 1-2 years in a previous role managing subcontractors, dispatching, project management or logistics/schedule
