POSITION SUMMARY
The Office Manager for the Craigmiles School of Nursing (CSON) reports to the Director of the CSON. The position is full-time and offers benefits as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Employee must possess a vibrant, personal Christian faith including a clear testimony of Christian conversion and be actively involved in an evangelical, preferably Southern Baptist, church.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
- Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and policies of HLGU and CSON • Partner with HLGU to foster students’ intellectual and spiritual growth • Represent HLGU and CSON in a positive light when interacting with internal and external constituents
CSON Operations
- Assist in the marketing and recruitment efforts of CSON
- Work in coordination with the HLGU Admissions Office to guide prospective, applying, and admitted students through both the university and CSON application processes, ensuring timely progression at each stage. Track and report applicant status.
- Maintain partnerships and contracts with healthcare agencies and other partners • Manage the calendar, correspondence, records, and files
- Serve as a liaison between CSON and Support Services on campus
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, invoices, and account reconciliation
- Supervise student workers and volunteers
- Evaluate administrative processes and recommend improvements
- Assist in the coordination and oversight of all major events of the CSON
Support to the Director
- Manage calendar, communications, travel arrangements, and reporting tasks for the Director of the CSON
- Assist with accreditation and regulatory reporting
- Support budget tracking and program evaluation
- Coordinate faculty hiring processes, interviews, and onboarding
- Serve as point of contact in the Director’s absence
Faculty Support
- Maintain curricular documents and program records
- Assist with committee coordination, meeting logistics, and documentation • Provide basic technical and administrative support
Project Management
- Maintain key program documents (handbooks, evaluation plans)
- Coordinate preparations and approval processes required for all planned CSON student trips
- Manage all system operations required to initiate, maintain, and fully use the repository for generating meaningful data reports for ongoing program improvement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and professional
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or similar systems
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years managerial experience preferred
