CNC Machine Operator (Steel Shop / Plasma Cutting)

$20–$26/hour (based on experience)
Full-time | Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (+ overtime as needed)
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable CNC Machine Operator to join our steel shop team in Starke, FL. If you have CNC experience, basic programming skills, and are willing to learn CNC plasma table operations, we want to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced shop environment with opportunities to grow your skills.
What You’ll Do
- Operate CNC machines for steel fabrication
- Perform basic CNC programming, setup, and adjustments
- Learn and run a CNC plasma cutting table
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Ensure parts meet quality and accuracy standards
- Assist with machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- CNC machine operating experience (preferred: 1+ years, but we’ll consider entry-level with the right attitude)
- Basic CNC programming knowledge
- Willingness and ability to learn plasma cutting operations
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work in a team environment
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
- Experience in a metal or steel fabrication shop
- Familiarity with plasma cutting equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
