Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing ingredients, executing menu items, and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food service. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning as per menu requirements
- Assist in cooking and assembling menu items following standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
- Assist in menu planning and meal prep for various dietary needs and catering events
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support serving staff during meal service as needed, including plating and garnishing
- Take carryout orders over the phone.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or restaurant operations is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is desirable but not mandatory
- Must be at least 18 years of age for this position.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
