Our Columbia office is seeking a Brokerage Associate to join our general brokerage team. We are looking for an excellent communicator and proactive problem solver. You will work in a fast-paced office supporting the Columbia Office brokerage team. Responsibilities
- Cultivate your own book of business through the numerous resources available with support from the Leadership Team
- Support the senior brokers in initiating business development activities.
- Work with senior brokers on new business proposals, prepare available property summary books, and create new business presentations
- Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiation, evaluation, and documentation
- Perform property tours when directed by brokers
- Maintain marketing material audits and organization, providing updates where needed
- Assist with building correspondence, file maintenance and management, meeting planning and scheduling, and report preparation
- Support the search for new clients and develop relationships in the real estate industry
- Process deal file paperwork; gather and label required documents; obtain necessary approvals
- Provide clients with industry and market-specific information as it relates to their business and maintain contact information on prospects
- Contribute to designated local market research requests: market snapshots, market overviews, quarterly market decks, and topic-specific research to support pitches and brokerage opportunities
- Review and understand financial models, cash flow projections, and valuation models
- Work with brokers to develop client follow-up materials (e.g., lease comparisons, market overviews, market presentations, etc.)
- Handle other duties as required
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field of study
- South Carolina Real Estate License
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Publisher
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
