Overview
Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver Class A and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of logistics, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a vital link in our supply chain, you will operate various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, transporting goods across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Plan and execute delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across OTR routes
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transportation
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers with manual transmission
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols
- Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures
