Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines
- Maintain an organized, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and respect
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies
- Support students’ individual needs
- Assist with curriculum development and adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Foster literacy, numeracy, creative writing, and other core skills through engaging instructional activities
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and caregivers to ensure a collaborative educational experience
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with individuals with a variety of abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and motivate students of all ages
- Familiarity with teaching subjects such as math, literacy education, or behavior management strategies
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and handle unexpected situations professionally
- Relevant certifications in teaching or childcare are a plus but not mandatory
