Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Support the overall sanitation efforts of the kitchen by adhering to food safety management practices.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or industrial cleaning machines is advantageous.
