Role Overview
In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Stryker military vehicles, ensuring operational readiness and reliability. You’ll work in both shop and field environments using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and hands-on mechanical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repairs on Stryker vehicles
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)
- Repair engines, transmissions, cooling, fuel, exhaust, driveline, and suspension systems
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and vehicle subsystems
- Replace and repair Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment accountability, and service documentation
- Support field operations and maintenance activities as required
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of mechanical or heavy equipment experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (MS Word, Excel)
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military vehicles (especially Stryker systems)
- Technical/trade school or certified mechanical training
- Familiarity with GDLS systems, military terminology, or IETMs
- Experience mentoring or training junior technicians
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in shop and field environments
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment/components
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and operational needs
Important Notes
- Must meet ASR requirements
- Must be able to access military bases
- Travel within the U.S. may be required
Pay: $29.76 - $34.85 per hour
