Overview
Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) Medical Group is hiring Registered Nurses for two specialty areas within our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. These full-time roles provide opportunities to deliver patient-centered care, support clinical operations, and contribute to a collaborative academic medical environment.
Opportunities Available
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM): Provide fetal monitoring and care for high-risk obstetric patients, including non-stress tests (NSTs), contraction stress tests (CSTs), and prenatal assessments. Collaborate with physicians and support patient and family education.
- Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS): Deliver perioperative and outpatient care for surgical gynecology patients. Responsibilities include triage, patient education, monitoring test results, and coordinating with providers on pre- and post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform clinical assessments, testing, and procedures relevant to assigned specialty.
· Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
· Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with EVMS Medical Group policies and standards.
· Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
· Monitor supply levels, manage clinical quality, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
· Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
· Graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
· Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (high-risk obstetrics for MFM, surgical/gynecology care for MIGS).
· Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
