Grace Kids Children’s Ministry is hiring Child Development Staff to care for children from birth through 6th grade in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role is ideal for those with a heart for ministry, a love for children, and strong communication skills to partner with parents, co-workers, and volunteers.
As part of the Child Development Staff, you will help create a Christ-centered atmosphere where kids can grow spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally. Responsibilities
§ Provide attentive and compassionate care to children from birth through 6th grade.
§ Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum that support spiritual, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
§ Foster a loving and structured classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
§ Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and co-workers to ensure a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
§ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space.
§ Follow all ministry policies and childcare best practices to ensure the well-being of every child.
§ Assist in planning and facilitating Bible lessons, Pre-K lessons, worship time, and interactive activities.
§ Model Christ-like behavior and values while engaging with children and families.
Qualifications
§ Must be at least 18 years of age.
§ Prior experience and/or certification in childcare, early childhood education, or a related field preferred.
§ Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
§ Ability to work well with a team and adapt to a dynamic environment.
§ CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Available Shifts
§ Sundays: 7:55 AM – 4:15 PM: plus/minus 30 minutes.
§ Mondays: 6:15 PM – 9:00 PM: plus/minus 15 minutes. Occasional shifts as scheduled for daytime/special events.
§ Tuesdays: Occasional shifts as scheduled for daytime/special events.
§ Wednesdays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: plus/minus 15 minutes.
§ Thursdays: Occasional shifts as scheduled for daytime/special events.
§ Fridays & Saturdays: Occasional shifts as scheduled for special events daytime/nighttime.
§ Schedules may vary based on ministry needs and special events.
Special Events & Required Training
As part of our team, you will be required to be present for the following special events and worship services:
§ Holidays that fall on a Sunday or Wednesday evening (including the Wednesday before Thanksgiving).
§ Christmas Eve services, Summer Camp Week, GI Conference Week, and other key events as designated.
