Summary:

Performs all tasks in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory
Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for maintaining and calibrating all testing equipment in the laboratory.

Works with UMCP physicians in performing the prescribed test for each patient.

Must adhere to all regulatory standards, i.e. JCAHO, Department of Health, and CAP.

Responsible for ensuring quality care to our customers.

Assumes all patient/customer pulmonary function laboratory responsibilities.

Responsible for performing all age specific testing in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.

Understands and follows the organization’s policies, procedures and standards.

Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

Knowledge of Performance Indicators and ensure exceeding results.

Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Credentials:
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Must have BLS certification through AHA.
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist (Required)
- Certified or Registered status in accordance with requirements of National Board for Respiratory Care.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support
-
ACLS certification through AHA, or within 3 months of hire.

Respiratory Therapist (Required)
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey.

RPFT or CPFT (Required)
- Must become CPFT or RPFT within the first year of taking the position.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
-
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Education Specialization: Equivalent Experience:••3+ years Experience in Pulmonary Function testing.•Ability to assist RT's on floors when determined by Manager.

Salary Range:
$32.50 - $51.85/Hourly
