The Student Financial Accounts Clerk is responsible for providing cashiering, accounts receivable, customer service, and administrative support to the Financial Services Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform cashiering and accounts receivable functions in accordance with College policies, procedures, and established internal controls, including processing and recording student and other payments, preparing deposits, processing refunds, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Provide accurate and responsive customer service to students, employees, companies, and other constituents regarding cashiering, student accounts, payments, refunds, payment plans, and related financial matters in person, by telephone, and electronically.

Assist with student account and payment activities, including processing and monitoring payments and payment plans, researching account activity, resolving payment discrepancies, and assisting with collection-related activities and account adjustments.

Perform accounts receivable and financial administrative support functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, research and resolution of discrepancies, charge transfers and adjustments, financial reporting, and preparation and maintenance of documentation to support accurate financial records and audits. Provide backup support for company and state-sponsored student accounts, grants, apprenticeships, and related funding activities as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned, including general departmental administrative support and participation in College activities, committees, projects, and other institutional initiatives.
High School diploma and experience in entry-level accounting or bookkeeping.
One year of accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience in higher education is preferred.
