Duties
- Measure and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation of sheetrock, gutters, and related materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools to install drywall, tape, mud, sand, and finish surfaces for seamless wall finishes.
- Install gutters, downspouts, and related drainage components following manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
- Perform framing tasks such as door hanging, window framing, and installing fixtures to support drywall and gutter systems.
- Conduct quality inspections during installation to verify proper fit, alignment, and adherence to blueprint specifications.
- Fabricate custom components as needed using tools like saws, drills, and measuring devices to meet project demands.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols, properly handling tools, and managing materials efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on drywall installation, gutter work, or remodeling projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and measuring devices such as tape measures for accurate work.
- Knowledge of blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans; ability to interpret specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with construction management software like Bluebeam is a plus for reviewing plans and documentation.
- Experience with building material installation including plastering, caulking, fixture mounting, cabinet installation, flooring laying, and tile masonry is desirable.
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements precisely and follow blueprint specifications diligently.
- Skills in plumbing or electrical work are advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is valued.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials, work at heights using ladders safely, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
