Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fence Builder to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing fences that enhance the safety, privacy, and aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Any experience in carpentry, framing, welding, and masonry is preferred, but for the right person with a strong work ethic, we are willing to train. Duties
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately according to project specifications
- Cut and assemble fence panels, posts, rails, and gates using hand tools and power tools
- Dig post holes and set posts securely in concrete foundations to ensure stability
- Install fencing materials such as wood, vinyl, chain-link, or metal with precision and care
- Perform framing tasks when required for custom or reinforced fencing solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by managing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Inspect completed fences for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed to meet standards
Skills
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry or related fields is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, levels, and measuring tapes is preferred, but not required
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently on various projects is preferred
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques for setting fence posts is preferred
- Experience with welding for metal fences or custom installations is a plus, and would warrant extra pay
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift 60lbs
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance or hardscape work enhances versatility on the job site
