The Accounting and Collections Supervisor provides professional accounting work, and coordinates and supervises accounting and collections staff, to ensure that the practices of the unit are accomplished pursuant to State statutes. The Supervisor performs a variety of tasks related to the collection of debts owed to the County.
MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field, and two or more years of supervisory experience as an Accounting or Collections Officer or equivalent, or an associate’s degree in business administration, accounting or closely related field, and five or more years of supervisory experience in collection work in a loan company, bank, credit union, or County agency or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Driver’s license is required upon hire. Annual certification and/or training is required in Data Security and Privacy and Data Security for County staff.
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous county supervisory experience.
UNION: Exempt, Non-Union – Grade 13
HOURS: HOURS: Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week. Business Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
