Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning bar surfaces, glassware, and equipment in accordance with food service bar safety compliance standards.
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar and dining areas promptly to keep the venue tidy and inviting.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic garnishing or assembling simple menu items.
- Ensure proper food industry hygiene standards are upheld through regular cleaning and sanitation routines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate beverage service and address guest needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with venue beverage service is a plus.
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining a sanitary workspace.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or POS for cash handling transactions is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with food preparation or catering services can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
