Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Operate POS systems such as LavuPOS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately and quickly.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change with attention to detail.
- Upsell additional products or add-ons to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, display cases, and seating areas, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Support food handling procedures, including bussing tables and managing food inventory as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, retail math, or cashiering is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners!
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like bending, lifting, and cleaning.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards in quick service or fast-food environments.
- Previous experience working in a café, grocery store, or restaurant setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
