The School Facilities Technician is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position with a 12-month work schedule, beginning July 1. Working hours for this position are 2:00pm-10:00pm, subject to change on an as-needed basis at the school's discretion. The School Facilities Technician will report to the Director of Facilities and Safety.
Position Overview
The School Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors to a dedicated CLASSICAL school campus. The ideal candidate is highly dependable, committed to on-site support for general facility operations, and able to provide cleaning services to the highest standard with a qualified, skilled team. A qualified candidate will have experience in school and/or commercial cleaning.
Duties and Responsibilities
The School Facilities Technician's essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Work with site-based personnel to ensure daily cleaning tasks are performed.

Maintain and use janitorial equipment safely and properly, following instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.

Clean and sanitize restrooms.

Dust and clean hard surfaces.
-
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors including stairs, hallways, and commons areas.

Clean and vacuum carpets.
-
Empty all trash receptacles, replace liners, and place trash in the dumpster.

Wipe down doors and clean glass if applicable.
-
Respond to calls for facilities emergency and on-call situations as directed.

Support laundry facility function.

Periodic special facility team projects.

Restock supplies.

Performs other functions as assigned to ensure effective, safe, and smooth school operations.

Compensation, Benefits and Hiring
Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
