Coach – Ninja Nation Austin
Location: Austin, TX
Hours: 18–25 hours per week (increased hours available during summer)
Schedule: 3-4 Weekday afternoons, and one weekend day
About Ninja Nation
Ninja Nation is a rapidly growing national sports and entertainment company on a mission to create a world-class, fun, and safe environment where everyone can be a hero. Our Arenas combine fitness, fun, and community through ninja obstacle training, classes, parties, camps and events. We primarily work with 5-12 year olds with some classes with 3-5 year olds and teens/adults. We pride ourselves on being a safe place to push yourself, where we celebrate both failures and victories. We ground ourselves in a spirit of growth through fun and play
We’re looking for energetic, positive, and motivated Coaches to join our team at Ninja Nation Austin — the first of its kind in the area!
About the Role
As a Coach, you’ll be the heartbeat of our Ninja Nation Development Program — helping kids (and sometimes adults) build strength, skills, and confidence while having an amazing time. You’ll lead classes, coach birthday parties, and bring your energy to everything from open gym to community events.
This is a part-time position ideal for students, athletes, or anyone who loves working with kids in an active, high-energy environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead fun, high-energy Ninja Nation classes based on our structured curriculum
- Motivate and guide participants of all ages and skill levels
- Work one weekend day each week as a Birthday Party Coach to deliver an unforgettable experience
- Assist with Arena safety checks and uphold all safety procedures
- Support the Arena Manager with competitions, group bookings, and field trips
- Participate in mobile events representing Ninja Nation in the Austin community
- Help create and maintain a fun, inclusive, and positive atmosphere
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of relevant coaching, athletic instruction, or youth leadership experience
- 1+ years of ninja obstacle, parkour, gymnastics, or similar experience (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication skills — able to engage both kids and parents
- Outgoing, energetic, and positive personality
- Team player who takes initiative and leads by example
- Reliable and committed to providing a safe, encouraging training environment
