Our US head office is based in Cresson Texas, 25 minutes south west of Fort Worth, and with steady growth and expansion at the forefront of our plans, we are currently seeking a motivated Pultrusion Operator to provide quality work in the areas of machine operation and laboring in a safety driven and efficient manner.
Key Task & Responsibilities:
- Operation of production machinery in a safe and effective manner
- Complete relevant QA process and visual testing and shift paperwork to ensure effective and safe operation
- General laboring - repetitive manual handling of product to value add production processes
- Ensure that all operational areas worked in are kept clean with structured workflow at all times
- Prepare and control raw materials and consumables to ensure productive operation
- Identifying quality and safety issues to help optimize overall manufacturing output with the lowest possible risk
- Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately in a timely fashion
- Ensure all operational work is carried out in accordance with defined procedures.
- Report all hazards immediately
- Upkeep of all workstations in line with best practice requirements for a world class facility
- Stay up to date with skills and operational knowledge through general procedure refreshers and awareness
- Maintain a high level of quality throughout the area
- Report all breakdowns
- Assist in the clean-up and shut down of each station
- Ensure effective Take 5 processes are followed
- Ensure you maintain a general professional presentation
- Ensure all Golden rules are adopted and embraced
- Any other duty as delegated to you by your supervisor or manager
- Maintain effective Time and Attendance records through the use of the electronic Time Target monitoring
- Fully participate and engage in safety Toolbox meeting and pre-start sessions.
- Flexible finish times to ensure continuous production processes are not compromised.
- This position will be required to work 4 days on, 4 days off. Days, nights, weekends, depending how the schedule falls.
Skills & Experience
- A strong safety focus
- Experience within a production line or manufacturing environment
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Machine operating or tooling experience (preferred)
- Ability to work a rotating shift: day, afternoon, and night
