Position Summary
The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing customer accounts within an assigned territory in the Thermal Interface Materials segment in the electronics industry. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments, ensuring exceptional customer service, accurate order processing, timely product delivery, and effective communication throughout the sales and production cycle. The Regional Account Manager develops strong customer relationships, prepares quotations, follows up on sales opportunities, and collaborates closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to meet customer expectations.
This position is primarily an Inside Sales role with up to 20% travel to the company’s plant in Cleveland, Ohio, various customer locations, and trade shows. The role is dynamic and fast-paced. It requires a degree of technical ability, for which training is provided. The successful candidate must be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Works alongside and supports Field Sales and Business Development Managers.
· Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts or territories.
· Develops and maintains strong customer relationships through regular communication and support.
· Understands customer requirements and provides solutions that meet their application needs.
· Manages customer expectations regarding products, lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules.
· Prepares and provide quotations in a timely and accurate manner.
· Follows up on quotations, sales opportunities, and customer inquiries via phone, email, and meetings.
· Identifies opportunities for account growth and increased sales.
· Enters customer orders accurately into Rico Products’ ERP system.
· Monitors order status from receipt through shipment and ensure timely delivery.
· Works closely with Production, Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality departments to meet customer requirements.
· Addresses quality concerns and coordinates corrective actions when necessary.
· Communicates shipment updates, delays, and resolutions to customers promptly.
· Maintains accurate records of customer communications and account activities.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
