Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions regarding products.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Restock shelves and display cases as needed to ensure product availability.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or bagel store environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
