Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Sleep Medicine! Duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and sleep assessments using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic , eClinicalWorks or Next Gen.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as sleep studies interpretation, actigraphy, and basic laboratory testing related to sleep disorders.
- Manage treatment plans involving CPAP therapy, oral appliances, medication adjustments, and Botulinum toxin treatments for conditions like bruxism or sleep-related movement disorders.
- Provide patient education on sleep hygiene, lifestyle modifications, and medication administration to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with pulmonologists to create comprehensive care plans.
- Assist in clinical research projects related to sleep medicine advancements and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards.
- Document all patient encounters accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with certification in Sleep Medicine preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, and utilization review processes for billing and documentation accuracy.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms to provide remote patient consultations effectively.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to sleep disorders; ability to perform vital signs assessment and physical examinations efficiently.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
