Overview
Under general supervision, perform duties involved in the collection and documentation of data in support of research and information gathering activities.
Responsibilities
- 1. Performs duties involved in the collection and documentation of data in support of research and information gathering activities; participate in all aspects of research and evaluation activities. Edits collected data and perform follow-up activities.2. Assists in the design and testing of questionnaires, data input sheets, and other data collection mechanisms; supervise and participate in the coding of data in preparation for computer operations.3. Coordinates the collection and organization of materials and data to be used in research reports, publications, and program descriptions; assist in data analyses and preparation of charts, graphs, and reports obtained from research data.4. Performs field work on assigned research project; establish and coordinate interview schedules and perform interviews with patients, family members, and general public.5. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Education, or Public Health, or equivalent combination of experience and education including training in research methodology, computerized data processing, and/or interviewing techniques.
- Prior clinical or research experience.
- Excellent organizational, writing, and office software skills required.
- Background and training in performing basic descriptive and comparative statistics.
