Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens by cleaning appliances, countertops, sinks, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed
- Manage outdoor work including sweeping porches, patios, or decks as needed to keep exterior areas tidy and welcoming
- Use proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy furniture or appliances to prevent injury and ensure safety standards are met
- Follow established housekeeping procedures for floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation to deliver consistent quality results
- Provide excellent customer service by respecting client preferences, communicating effectively, and addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or janitorial services; hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and maintenance of various flooring types
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when lifting or moving heavy items
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience with outdoor work tasks such as yard cleanup or porch maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and cleaning products to ensure safe and effective hygiene practices
