Job Description:
We are a multi-unit franchisee of a fast growing and dynamic brand with 15 current locations in South Texas with multiple in development and 700+ current employees.
This HR Director position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the human resources functions within the organization. Reporting directly to upper management and ownership team, the HR Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
·Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues through effective communication, investigation, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state employment laws.
· Talent Acquisition:
- Collaborate with store managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a positive and seamless transition into the organization.
· Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Assist in the creation of implementation of performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of employee performance and evaluations.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the payroll process, including accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, deductions, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with benefits providers to administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing payroll, including tax withholding, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration. Experience with employees in TX preferred.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
· HR Policy Implementation:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Communicate HR policies and changes to employees and managers, providing clarification and guidance as needed.
- Monitor compliance with HR policies and procedures across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources roles
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, as well as payroll regulations and best practices.
- Experience with payroll software and systems.
- Experience with Paycom preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

Pay: From $70,000 a year
Location: Work in Dallas office with periodic travel to: McAllen, Laredo, and Corpus Christi
